Latest update: Summary – on 22 October 2017, a national census will take place in Peru during which there will be a curfew during the census from 8am to 5pm. Tourist services such as hotels and restaurants should continue to function as normal; if you’re travelling to Peru or are in Peru on that date, you can transit freely during the curfew carrying your passport unless you are a permanent resident. If you are a permanent resident in Peru, you should stay at your residence during the census for registration
