Our trip so far:
We have been traveling around Southern Africa since September 2013. Our initial trip was a success with a bit of a learning curve about life living on the road. We managed game drives in Kruger Park, boat trips through the Blyde River Canyon, camping under a baobab tree in the Makgadikgadi Pans, watched elephants from the bar in Kasane, visited Victoria Falls, crossed the Caprivi Strip, found lions and leopards in Etosha National Park, camped on the edge of a waterfall on the border of Angola, drove through canyons near Purros, headed down past the White Lady at Branberg Mountain to the Skeleton Coast in Namibia and then back to Johannesburg via Windhoek.
After a quick trip back to Australia for Christmas, we flew back to Johannesburg and continued our trip heading to Cape Town for a few days. We continued along the coast to Cape Agulhus, the southernmost tip of Africa, marking the official start of our Cape to Cairo overland trip. Following the coast, we passed along the Garden Route then up the Wild Coast before crossing into Lesotho. We spent a couple of weeks driving through the stunning mountains of Lesotho before heading back to the coast and up to Durban.
We spent a week in Durban before heading back up to Johannesburg.
We are now all packed and ready to hit the road once again. We are planning to head off this week. Our first stop will be Swaziland.
