I'm planning a Afrika overland trip and I'm now figuring out what is the best country to get a carnet the passage from. I'm from the Netherlands but live in Portugal and also have a Bulgarian company. So there's some options. I was wondering if the security deposit that needs to be paid to travel Afrika differs from country to country or if it's all the same? I know that the price for the carnet itself can differ, but it seems that different countries also ask for different security deposits.
Is anyone familiar with these differences?
