Although generally peaceful, periodic protests in Yerevan, Gyumri and other cities have the potential to escalate. You should avoid protests and large gatherings and monitor the media for the latest information. The level of the advice has not changed. We continue to advise Australians to exercise normal safety precautions in Armenia. Higher levels apply in some parts of the country.
