On 21 December 2017 an incident involving a car colliding with pedestrians in the Central Business District of Melbourne left 14 people injured, some seriously. The Victoria Police are treating this as a ‘deliberate act’ but the motivation is not yet known. They have asked people to avoid the area while they investigate the incident.
