Australians in Burundi are required to register in a national census of foreign nationals between 4-15 April 2016 (see Entry and exit). If you are in Burundi, you should consider leaving if it is safe to do so. Monitor the local media and other sources for developments which may affect your safety. The level of the advice has not changed. We continue to advise Australians not to travel to Burundi.
