On March 13 there were reports of an armed attack in the vicinity of Grand Bassam resort, near Abidjan. Travellers should follow the advice of local security authorities (see Safety and Security). The overall level of the advice has not changed. We continue to advise Australians to exercise a high degree of caution in Côte d'Ivoire overall. Higher levels apply in some regions.
