Travellers should be aware that foreigners may be arrested, detained or expelled for activities that would not be considered crimes in Australia. If you are arrested or detained, you should be aware that consular access, being at the discretion of the DPRK authorities, may be difficult or significantly delayed (see Laws). The level of the advice has not changed. We continue to advise Australians to reconsider their need to travel to the DPRK.
