Australians in Niger should exercise heightened vigilance due to the threat posed by terrorism. Previous terrorist attacks have targeted locations frequented by foreigners and may do so again. The level of advice has not changed. We continue to advise against all travel to Niger. However different levels apply in some parts of the country, including the capital, Niamey.
