Latest update: Summary and Entry requirements section (Visas) - the Papua New Guinea Immigration and Citizenship Authority (ICA) has announced that the Visa on Arrival (VoA) service will be suspended from 30 October until 30 November 2018 (inclusive) as part of enhanced border security measures related to APEC Leaders’ Week; during this period, all travellers can still apply and obtain a visa through Papua New Guinea embassies and missions abroad prior to travel; Safety and security (Local travel) - during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Week transport and hotel accommodation will be scarce, and road closures and restricted access will be in place in some parts of town
