Summary – on 22 October 2017, a national census will take place in Peru; there will be a curfew during the census from 8am to 5pm, but tourist services such as hotels and restaurants will continue to function as normal. If you’re travelling around Peru on that date you should make sure you’ve registered at the point of entry in the city where you have arrived, or if you’ve arrived on 22 October after 8am make sure you collect and carry a registration card with you
